Poll: when can we call it safe and go back outside?

The WHO declared the pandemic of COVID-19 to be a global health emergency on March 11, 2020.  Due to the severe situation, many countries have imposed a “stay-at-home” order, which has abated the infected rate, but also brought great inconvenience to the people’s daily life. People urgently want to return to work and hang out with friends and families. So when can we call it safe and go back outside?  Take the poll below and express your opinions in the comment section.

Even as we have access to more tools and precautions that will help us ease back into normal life, we probably won't be completely safe until the development and distribution of a vaccine. There seems to be some silver lining here; we will likely see a lot of advancements in how tests and vaccines are developed. These times are scary and uncertain, but also gives me a lot of confidence for the future of molecular biology.

Upto now many dangerous diseases attacked humans but no disease spread as fast as covid in the history this shows it has great spreading power vaccine and antiviral drugs have to be developed we hve to avoid meat and eat only vegeterian foods and also we need to wear masks and use santiser take a healthy food,Do yoga build up your breathing system always take lot of fluids take garlic and ginger in good amounts dont get cold maintain distancing and dont touch any outsiders till covid vaccine comes do your with taking all of these precautions take lemon water daily maintain c vitamin content in a body.antibodiea though developed they can be upto some duration so be careful and stay safely

Some americans who had COVID-19 in the past year and developed antibodies have a rapid deterioration after infected again, which is suspected to be an Antibody Dependent Enhancement (ADE).Therefore, do not be too superstitious about antibodies, please take your masks and wash your hands frequently.

I think it is safe and we can go back outside when a vaccine is developed for widely implementation. Although it seems successful in china when mass nucleic acid test is available, I think, in the long term, the problem can be solved once and for all, if we have vaccines.

The smallpox vaccine was the first vaccine to be developed against a contagious disease. From 1958 to 1977, the WHO conducted a global vaccination campaign that eradicated smallpox, making it the only human disease to be eradicated. When the coronavirus vaccines can be safely and widely used, the pandemic will be gone.

Antibody test can help to understand the immunity of the population. But unfortunately, it's unknown that whether the antibody dependent enhancement would happen for SAS-CoV-2 and what's the threshold of antibody titer to call it safe. Wait for our scientists' progress on this virus, and the vaccine development as well.

Remdesivir has been reported on Apr 23 to have failed in its first randomised clinical trial. 13.9% of the patients taking the drug had died compared to 12.8% of those receiving the placebo. Besides, the reported vaccines are all under clinical trials now. Thus, we cannot get treatable drugs or vaccines in a short time. Currently, the optimal solution may still be infector isolation based on overall consideration about nucleic acid and antibody test results.
