I am a graduate student working and studying in the Applied Microbiology Laboratory. Our research group is mainly engaged in research on probiotics and human health. For example, how intestinal microorganisms affect human health or cause colorectal cancer. The Crispr cas9 system allows Saccharomyces cerevisiae to produce some aromatic compounds at high yield and enhance the aroma of tobacco leaf fermentation. Recently, I'm using Crispr gene knockout technology to knock out the bypass gene that is not related to phenyllactic acid in the S. cerevisiae metabolic pathway, so I want to obtain a yeast strain that produces phenyllactic acid with high yield.
