MolecularCloud Distinguished Research Awards aim to recognize and honor those research achievements which have made significant impact on the studies of COVID-19 and the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes it. There are three categories of the award, covering:

Award Winners

After two months’ voting, the awards go to the teams whose publications have received most votes in each category.

Award

This is a team award and the authors of each awarded publication will receive the Distinguished Research Award Certificate and a prize worth $3,000 USD together. All the nominated authors will also be eligible to join the MolecularCloud Cloud Scientist Program and enjoy the corresponding benefits.

The prize consists of two parts:

  • External nomination channel has been closed on August 10th , 2020. In total, 25 publications covering all categories of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 research were nominated.
  • The publication which receives most votes in each research area wins the award. The voting has started on July 10th, 2020 and will close at 0:00 a.m. EST, September 11th , 2020.
  • A comment for any nominated publication will be counted as 10 votes and added to the final tally.
  • The awardees will be announced on 9:00 a.m. EST September 11th , 2020.
Vote and win a free gift
  • Anyone with a MolecularCloud account can vote.
  • Each account can vote for up to 3 nominees every day.
  • Any customer who login and cast votes can have chances to get a free gift (Amazon gift card/JD gift Card/T-shirt/Canvas bag).
  • The inventory is limited. First come, first served.

        • This campaign will last from July 10th, 2020 to September 10th, 2020. The voting function will close at 0:00 a.m. EST, September 11th, 2020.
        • The three awardees will be presented on this webpage on 9:00 a.m. EST September 11th, 2020.
        • Each account can vote for up to 3 nominees every day. A comment or recommendation will be counted as 10 votes and added to the final tally.
        • The three votes should be all casted for winning the gifts. The inventory is limited. First come, fist served. Each customer can get at most one gift for voting.
        • Any votes obtained by cheating software or any fraud activities will be removed from the vote tally. Depending on the severity, a candidate may be disqualified.
        • MolecularCloud team will select the best comments and recommendations based on the quality and "Like" numbers, and send notification emails to the winning writers.
        • MolecularCloud team will contact the winning customers to arrange shipment of the gifts. For the regions where the shipping service is not available at the moment, the gift could be stored at our facility and shipped out when the logistic is back to normal.
        • For mainland China, the $20 amazon card could be replaced by ￥100 JD gift card.
