1. Is there a fee to join the MolecularCloud?

Becoming a member of the MolecularCloud is free. Simply just, click on the “Register” to create a new account.

2. What is the Cloud Scientist program?

The Cloud Scientist program is open to all active researchers who are interested in having their work promoted on MolecularCloud. Participating scientists will be featured on our homepage and on social media, with a dedicated page providing an overview of their research, lab, and available plasmids. The aim is to promote the work and increase the global visibility of our users while making scientific research accessible to all.

3. When will I begin to receive these benefits from an account upgrade?

Once an account is upgraded, you will automatically be eligible to receive the respective benefits.

4. How long do I have to redeem my account upgrade benefits?

Benefits are redeemable for one year after account upgrade date Ex: account upgraded on 11/30/2018, benefits will expire on 11/30/2019.

5. Will my benefits roll over into the New Year?

As some benefits are offered annually, (one free plasmid order per year) they don’t roll over and accumulate. They will expire one year after the account upgrade date.

6. How long is my research highlighted under the Cloud Scientist program?

Featured Scientist and Social Media promotion is done on a monthly basis. With a Cloud Elite account upgrade, an extension of these promotional features is available.

7. I am interested to join, is there any information that I have to submit?

As a Featured Scientist, endorsement will highlight a brief overview of your research and your lab on our homepage and social media. We would need….

  • Brief summary of your educational and research background; areas of expertise; current projects.

  • Link to your lab’s website

  • Links (or a list) of your recent publications

  • Description of your Research Focus (i.e. Neurology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, etc.)
